'Tis the season and all that jazz
Ah, November. It's that time of year to come to terms with if your football team is making it to the Super Bowl/championship game or not and putting up your Christmas tree right after Halloween as if Thanksgiving doesn't exist. It's seemingly all these things, but most of all, it's that capitalism still has its claws tightly clenched around our throats. That's right, folks. I'm talking about Black Friday!
Year after year, people do what they would typically deem as abnormal in the name of getting some expensive product on sale. It's an odd tribal bonding of reinforced bad behavior. C'mon! What other day are people camping outside of their local big box retailer to get a TV at a discounted price? Imagine being a temporary worker and being trampled to death in a stampede of discount-crazed shoppers. Sounds like the icing on the cake to the holiday season.
To be fair, we all don't want to run over our neighbors at Wal-Mart. It turns out that some of you are reaching higher and digging deeper with your Black Friday wishes, this year. I asked to find out and you told me.
What do you want on sale for Black Friday?

When looking at the responses, I wondered if we could achieve any of these things. It's not like there is a store for the stuff 'm going to show you, but could they be realized? I don't have any deals or coupons on the items requested, but I'll do some research that might lead you in the right direction.

I was just taking to a friend about the housing costs in Los Angeles. I get it. California has culture, nice beaches, and the allure of Hollywood, (and some of the most restrictive building laws in the nation) but the cost of living there is out of this world. You should have options, so I found America's 10 cheapest states to live in 2017 via CNBC.

I'm right there with you. I can't wait to be done with student loan payments. Sometimes, I wonder what life would be like if I never went to college. I'd have more money. That's for sure. One thing I always remember is that I'm thankful for the positive relationships I've gained through it all.
Is there such a thing a thing as the "best school?" No, probably not, but I did find an article titled Best Value Colleges 2017: 300 Schools Worth The Investment via Forbes. It might aid someone in their search for "higher education" to look at the numbers and discern value, for themselves. Do what's best for you.

Maxine Moore Waters currently serves as the U.S. Representative for California's 43rd congressional district, and previously served the 35th and 29th districts, serving in Congress since 1991. She is a member of the Democratic Party, the most senior of the 12 black women currently serving in the United States Congress, and is a member and former chair of the Congressional Black Caucus. She also might be the Wonder Woman needed to redeem this fallen Olympus.
Aunt Maxine called for reform and the girls have been screaming ever since. Collusion, Hacking, THE LIES! She says it needs to end. Apparently, many in the Twittersphere feel the same way.
Regardless of your politics, there is no denying the nonsensical behavior that your chosen leadership has displayed. I could give the "you deserve better" speech, but no. Maybe you don't deserve. Maybe you've brought this Gotham upon yourselves. It could be that Batman is on a well-deserved vacation with his family and has no plans of returning, anytime soon.
Enjoy the holidays
The truth is, no special deal is worth getting injured or hurting someone else over. If you come up on something nice, that's great. I'm not saying it's wrong to go shopping. I might venture out to some stores this year, too.
I do urge you to stay safe. It's like when you're learning to drive and your parents say they're not worried about you, but the other drivers on the road. Beware of people's competitive emotions and wild mob mentality. Spend as much time with your family as possible and enjoy the holiday season.
